According to a report by Premium Times, Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi this afternoon dissolved the executive council of the state. This came as a surprise as it was the least expected move from the governor. Affected in this impromptu decision were the commissioners, advisers and assistants.
Disclosing this in a stament, the Director, Cabinet, Mr. Dotun Omokemi stated that the decision was made after the weekly executive council meeting held today.Governor Ajimobi was quoted to have said that the development was aimed at injecting fresh blood into the administration in the quest to serve the state better.
The governor thanked the commissioners and Special Advisers who made up the executive council for their contributions so far and asked them to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective ministries.Though reasons for this immediate action by the Governor is a little bit sketchy presently, sure,we will bring you more details as the event unfolds.....
