CODEFEST to hold “Digital Democracy” forum to mark Democracy Day



In commemoration of Nigeria’s 13th Democracy day, CODEFEST Nigeria is holding a one day forum to sensitize stakeholders and the general public on how to make further impact with technology. The event organized under the umbrella of Digital Transformation Support Initiative (DTSI) is slated to hold Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Silverbird Galleria, VI, Lagos. The event is starting by 12 noon.

Themed “Digital Transformation in Nigeria”, the event is aimed at giving every stakeholder an opportunity to advocate the use of ICT in governance as well as help the government generate data polls useful for creating a digital transformation plan.

Speaking about the event, the Founder of CODEFEST Nigeria and host of the event, Moss Uromtah said: “On this day we are using media coverage to promote the adoption of ICT in governance across Nigeria. We expect to have every stakeholder share a positive outlook on the way forward using ICT in Nigeria.

“Join us to commemorate Nigeria's Independence (May 29) as we give you a platform to tell Nigerians how to move our democracy forward with ICT. This is an opportunity to be a part of digital transformation in Nigeria,” he added.

Entry to the event is free with lots of prizes to be won.

DTSI is an NGO under CODEFEST that fosters the spread and use of digital technologies (Information Communication Technology) in driving change at every socio-economic levels of Nigeria. It has a mandate to empower Nigerians; leading and building digital transformation.

CODEFEST Nigeria is an IT firm based in Lagos that organizes hackthon events in universities around the country to build IT skills in young Nigerians.
