As part of its objectives to empower young teenagers
through its annual empowerment program themed ‘Be A Better You’ (B.A.B.Y), Star's
Delight is targeting about 250 teenagers across public and private secondary
schools in Lagos this year. The program is slated to hold this month, November
25th at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Destiny Sanctuary 1, Destiny
Avenue, Karimu Laka Street, Egbeda, Lagos State.
Dubbed ‘Shine’, the program which is the 6th edition
is aimed at grooming, coaching, nurturing and counseling young adults into
better people who will in turn affect people around them positively.
It will feature various sessions on academics,
relationship and career as well as a talent show which will include Dance, music
and so on.
Speaking about the forthcoming empowerment program,
the Founder, Star’s Delight, Ms. Dara Olaniyan expressed optimism about the
impact the program will have on the participants in enabling them to scale in their
various endeavors and be a positive and shining example in the society at large.
“The 6th annual edition of Star's Delight tagged ‘Shine’
promises to be very educative, insightful and inspiring” she said.
“After the event, we expect that all the
participants would have gained very useful knowledge which would enable them
shine in their academics career and relationship, hence enabling them to become
better people as the basic theme for Star's Delight is B.A.B.Y, an acronym for ‘Be
A Better You’ ”, she further stated.
Star’s Delight is a humanitarian initiative that
involves grooming, coaching, nurturing and counseling young adults. Since its
inception in 2012, it has empowered more than 3000 young adults across Nigeria
and other places like England and Chicago through B.A.B.Y.
