Nigerian fashion house, Jahda unveils debut collection "Jagaban"

Having carved a niche for itself over the years in the Nigerian fashion industry, fashion house and men's wear label, Jahda releases debut collection for fashionistas and other bold & stylish men and women out there.

For its debut collection, Jahda goes from the usual to the extraordinary; from what we are conversant with to what we didn't see coming. With a bold step, the fashion house redefines the usual Agbada ensemble we've come to know since the 40s or 50s in the mainstream Yoruba culture to what it calls "Jagaban".

"Jagaban" is a redefining mix of the popular Agbada style with Buba all in one ensemble. Apart from the mix, one also notices the one sided Agbada 'flap' style making it seamlessly easy and comfortable to wear to anywhere without even breaking a sweat, while still looking dashing as a real Yoruba 'angel'.

When asked the idea behind the design, the Creative Director of Jahda, Opusunju Daniel said the fashion space over time has  constantly revolved round designs like Agbada, Danshiki and the rest and its about time to reinvent new crop of designs.

In his words "often the industry keeps revolving round the Agbada design and its high time we did something else creative  that will be comfortable to wear anyday, anytime like your normal native attire and would still be classy at the same time without breaking the bank".

With its numerous cutting edge designs that have been seen on various celebrities and top shot individuals, one could easily say the future looks great for the brand without even batting an eyelid.

Would you rock this and look
