BREAKING NEWS:Plane carrying the body of late Olusegun Agagu crashes in Lagos,more than 20 people on boared,6 confirmed alive (PHOTO)

An Akure bound associated airline which had over 20 people on board,carrying the body of late former Governor of Ondo State,Olusegun Agagu ,who died in september after slumping in Ibadan,his family members as well as friends of the family crashed near MMI Airport,Lagos.

The plane which was going to Akure for the final funeral rites of the late former Governor,was said to have crashed due to engine failure around 9.20 am immediately after take off.

According to a statement from the Federal Aviation Authority(FAAN),rescue operations are still ongoing.
"We confirm today the crash of an Embraer 120(plane)belonging to Associated airlines",the statement read.
"The rescue operation commenced immediately with all the relevant agencies moving enmasse to the crash site." FAAN said.

Also according to a news by LTV ,6 people are said to be alive and while 9 confirmed dead.Will bring you more update later as soon as possible.
